After making his debut at the age of sixteen during the ‘Maratona Liszt’ at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Rome, in collaboration with the American Liszt Society and the Accademia Chigiana of Siena, Marco has achieved notable success and has received prestigious awards around the world.
Marco started his professional career with the 32nd International Piano Competition ‘Valentino Bucchi’, winning the 1st Prize and the Medal of the President of the Italian Republic in Rome.
This success paved the way for further awards, the most recent being the 3rd Prize and the Special Prize for the Best Performance of Franz Liszt at the 13th International Piano Competition ‘Son Altesse Royale la Princesse Lalla Meryem’ in Rabat, Morocco.
Marco held concerts in venues such as Cambridge University (UK), Oxford University (UK), Palace of the President of Malta (Malta), Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia (Italy), Filarmonica Romana (Italy), Radio Vaticana (Italy), Ulyanovsk Philharmonic Hall (Russia), Penza Philharmonic Hall (Russia), Ufa Philharmonic Hall (Russia), Togliatti Philharmonic Hall (Russia), Saratov Conservatory Concert Hall (Russia), Astrakhan Conservatory Concert Hall (Russia), Fryazino Auditorium (Russia), Théatre National de Rabat (Morocco), among others.
Marco graduated with a first class honours Diploma Degree from ‘Santa Cecilia’ Conservatory in Rome in 2013, studying with Maria Mosca.
In 2015, he obtained a first class honours Master of Music Degree and a honourable mention from ‘Arrigo Boito’ Conservatory in Parma, where he studied under Roberto Cappello.
Furthermore, he has followed masterclasses with Zuzana Cižmarovičová (Komárno – Slovakia), Michele Campanella (Rome – Italy), Jerome Rose (Manchester – UK), Bernd Goetzke (Michaelstein – Germany), Massimiliano Ferrati (New York – USA, awarded full scholarship), Filippo Gamba and Elisso Virsaladze (Italy).
A pupil of Enrico Pace and Igor Roma at the Accademia Pianistica ‘Incontri col Maestro’ in Imola, Italy, In October 2024 Marco won a permanent position as a Full Professor at the ‘Domenico Cimarosa’ Conservatory in Avellino.
Marco is also a skilled and passionate swimmer; in June 2018 he crossed the Strait of Messina (Stretto di Messina), Sicily. In July 2019 he crossed the Bosphorus Strait in Istanbul (from Asia to Europe), organized by the Turkish Olympic Committee.
In 2020 Marco founded Fucine Romane, the first Humanistic Investment Jewellery in the world that creates precious Works of Art with pure 24K Gold and 999 Silver, certified by Fairmined.
